Design Process

Designing your new project is fun! But also very involved. Lots of decisions and answers needed for many different people. Information needed for tradesmen, correct layouts, correct colours, sufficient cupboard space planned into the drawings, appliances to source, works shedule to be created and many more crucial decisions and plans needed to ensure the project runs smooth and to budget and more importantly looks amazing!

It is always best to come in and discuss your project with us to ascertain your bespoke project costings.

Design Process:

Our preferred method of consultation is to invite you to the showroom. Being at the showroom enables us to show physical examples of finishes, styles and fittings.
Based on feedback from many clients. Being able to come to the showroom, have a coffee and chat through ideas left them with a greater understanding of the design possibilities for their project, left them more confident in our ability to produce what is required and gave them a greater understanding of our customer service.

We have a selection of appliances and accessories such as Quooker hot taps, Bora Hobs, Aga Total Control, Westin Extraction, quartz and granite work surfaces, handles, lighting and many other items. These really can fuel your imagination with ideas for your new kitchen. Also, with our workshop 100mtrs around the corner. Many clients utilise the option to have a workshop tour to understand construction methods and materials in a greater depth.

On average a design consultation takes 1 - 2 hours. Please see below the information we ask you to bring with you (if possible)

Existing Structure:

  • Photos of the room
  • 2d measures of the room  -  see our room measuring advice sheet
  • Any inspiration pictures and ideas you may have.

These can all be emailed to us in advance of our meeting. If they are these can be pre-loaded onto our design software for us to create your room you to visualise upon your visit.

New Build/Extension:

  • Plans of the new structure sent to us in an unlocked DWG format (your architect will have these)
  • The same plans as a pdf are also helpful for us to brainstorm, annotate and sketch on during your visit
  • Any inspiration pictures and ideas you may have

During a design consultation we would aim to gather an understanding of the layout required, types of storage preferred, appliances and accessories requirements, and the styling of your new cabinetry. You will have a deeper understanding of what we can offer you, how we work and our customer service.

After your consultation we will have enough information to undertake an initial estimate which will be sent to you within 2 weeks.

Home Visits:

If a home visit suits your requirements better, we can come and see you in the comfort of your own home. We can survey the property and discuss the requirements and ideas you have. Visualisation of suggested ideas, materials, appliances and accessories can be more challenging for your self with a home visit consultation. We would always recommend a showroom visit shortly after. After your consultation we will have enough information to undertake an initial estimate which will be sent to you within 2 weeks.

Design drawings and renders:

We have fantastic software which can create photorealistic images in up to 8k resolution, 2d elevational drawings of cabinetry layouts and arial views to understand walkways, spacings and the new workings of the kitchen. With a full library of appliances, colours, flooring and textures. We can create a package that really will give you the feel for your new kitchen.

We want to deliver a unique and one to one design service that enables you to feel confident that we will create that truly bespoke kitchen for you and your family.

Our simplest design packages take around 4 hours to produce therefore we have created the following options to ensure efficient use of our designers:

  • Design consultation undertaken in which ideas are discussed, rough sketches are produced to enable understanding of layout and storage requirements. Appliances, accessories and worktop options discussed. An estimate sent based on above which will detail inclusions and services. At this stage no drawings are provided.
  • After a design consultation has been undertaken and estimate is sent. Should our costings work within your budget parameters. We can undertake line drawings and a photographic render. These can consider colours, appliances and textures (where software permits) These drawings are sent to you for you to print at home. Or A3 versions can be posted or collected from our showroom. The cost of this is £150.00 plus vat. If you proceed with us to undertake your project this figure is refunded against your balance.
  • Should you require Further drawings, renders or design changes these can be undertaken at £150.00 inc vat for each set of drawings issued. Again, this is refunded against your balance should you proceed with us for your project.

At any point of the above processes you choose to proceed with us to undertake your project. A 10% deposit is taken. At this point all design services are free of charge and inclusive of our service to you. We also work with a selection of interior designers, colour coordinators and interior specialists should you need any help. Please ask for more information.
